Our Story

The Double D’s: Daniel & Devin — A match made in Heaven! (Heaven being Crab Island). Our journey began in 2020 when Devin visited from a small town in Texas, and met Daniel who was a deckhand at Crab Island. Drawn by the allure of this unique destination (and person) she moved from Texas in 2022 and made Destin, Florida her home.

Daniel was born and raised here locally in Destin, along with his mom, Deanna. He obtained his 100-ton Master Captain's License in 2021, he worked 3 long summers for a charter business, and in 2024 him and his mom started their own family business, Bikkini Bottom Boat, pursuing both of their love for the Emerald Coast and Crab Island.

Devin worked on Crab Island for 2 and 1/2 summers before landing a mobile vending position with Crab Island Voyages. Brittiany, the previous owner, proudly took her under her wing and showed her the ropes for 2 and 1/2 years. Recently in October of 2025 Brittiany and her partner decided to sell the business and who better than The Double D’s!

What started as a simple vacation has blossomed into a full-fledged family charter business. We are grateful and blessed to have this opportunity as locals to run a small, but impactful business.
